Perion Advertisement Takedown Policy

  1. Introduction

Perion Network Ltd., and its subsidiaries and affiliated entities, d/b/a Perion (Collectively: “Perion”) is committed drives to maintain a safe, respectful, and compliant environment for its relevant users and advertisers. This Advertisement Takedown Policy (this “Policy”) outlines the procedure for reporting, reviewing and removing advertisements provided via our services that violate Perion’s policies, guidelines or agreements.

  1. Grounds for Takedown

We may remove or restrict access to advertisements that:

  • Violate our policies, guidelines or legal agreements.
  • Infringe intellectual property rights (*for notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act please act according to our DMCA Policy).
  • Contain false, misleading or deceptive information.
  • Promote illegal activities or regulated goods without proper authorization.
  • Incite violence, hatred, discrimination or harassment.
  • Breach any laws, including without limitation, privacy laws or data protection regulations, and/or breach any right of any third party.
  • Pose a risk to public health, safety or security.
  1. Reporting Violations

Users, rights holders and stakeholders may file a complaint regarding an advertisement by contacting us at [email protected] (“Complaint”). The Complaint should include all of the following (we may request additional information and/or documentation):

  • Proof of your identity and relation to the advertisement, and Power of Attorney should you are acting on behalf of a client.
  • A clear description and print screens of the advertisement in question.
  • The specific grounds for the Complaint.
  • All relevant evidence or documentation to support the Complaint.
  1. Review Process

Upon receiving a Complaint, we may:

  • Acknowledge receipt within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Conduct a prompt and thorough review of the advertisement and the allegations.
  • Notify the relevant advertiser of the report and allow them to provide evidence or explanations. Where applicable, we may also may also  notify affected users, regarding actions taken.
  • Make a determination regarding the advertisement’s compliance with our policies and guidelines.
  • Remove immediately the advertisement at our discretion.
  1. Takedown and Appeals

At any case, if we determine that a violation is found, the advertisement may be removed or restricted. The advertiser will receive written notice of the action taken with reasoning.

Appeals by advertiser must be submitted within 14 days of receiving the notice, and should include new or clarifying evidence to support the appeal. We will review the appeal and may issue a final decision within 30 business days.

  1. Record Keeping and Transparency

We will maintain records of all Complaints and actions taken, including the rationale behind each decision. These records will be preserved in accordance with applicable requirements.

  1. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or relevant regulations. Any changes will be communicated herein via an updated version and become effective upon posting.
