Troubleshooting

No Data or Wrong Data

The most common cause of a lack of data is not choosing an advertiser. Ask Perion will only access data for the selected advertiser. Make sure to always choose the correct account and an advertiser before starting a chat. If you’re getting the wrong data, check the Advertiser Dropdown at the bottom of the screen and make sure the correct advertiser is selected.

Low Quality or Confusing Answers

A best practice in AI prompting is to always start a new chat for a new topic. However, it may be beneficial to restart a chat if you notice that the AI is talking in circles, getting confused, or just giving weird answers in general. Starting a new chat will reset the AI and allow you to start again.

Hallucinations

Ask Perion is a great tool and helpful agent, but all AI can hallucinate. The agent has been directed to provide only real insights and refrain from inventing facts, details, or products. However, you should always review, verify, and validate the output before taking any action. You can use the Insights App or My Reports to double-check your data at any time.

Current System Limitations

Ask Perion is still in development. Please be aware of the following known limitations:

• Access to core products only (Not including Audiences that are being used in the line item level—only from audience reporting).
• No 3rd party data (For example, CTV is out of scope).
• Does not activate, book, or enable campaigns.
• Does not validate inventory availability.
• Cannot connect to internal systems/APIs (catalog, pricing services, proposal services, Salesforce, etc.).
• Does not enforce full proposal schema compliance.
• Does not implement advanced safeguards/validation engines.
• Does not provide proposal persistence, versioning, or export workflows.
• Is not connected to the internal knowledge base (i.e., it can’t solve user interface issues or reliably explain how to use the platform).

What is Ask Perion?

Ask Perion is the Perion One native AI. Users can use the chatbot to make plans, build reports, dig into data, surface trends, get advice, and more.

What can Ask Perion help me with?

Ask Perion works just like any other AI agent. There are several ways to interact with the agent:

• Post-Campaign Insights: A great way to reduce the time spent manually reading and synthesizing reports and data sources. After a campaign, the AI agent collects all the reporting data it has access to and creates recommendations regarding areas like campaign metrics/KPIs, targeting, product performance, creative effectiveness, and device insights.
• Campaign Planning: To start planning a campaign, either build your own prompt, or use a pre-written prompt to get started. The agent will ask you for any missing details (e.g., total budget, flight dates, geo, etc.). You can also further specify any restrictions or requirements as the agent builds the plan. Ask Perion will start a conversation so you can naturally work through the details of your plan.
• Brainstorming: Bounce ideas, get feedback on past campaigns or new campaign ideas, validate hypotheses, or just ask for thought starters. The agent will provide data-driven insights based on your ideas to point you in the right direction.
• Troubleshooting campaigns: If you’re not seeing the results you expected, Ask Perion can dig into the data to see where the campaign may be faltering, then suggest ways to improve performance.
• General Perion One help: If you need help navigating the platform or specific apps, Ask Perion can guide you through troubleshooting steps or let you know when it’s time to chat with a support agent.

Can Ask Perion execute campaigns or reports?

No. Currently, Ask Perion does not execute any actions on your behalf. It will, however, lay out your next steps so you know exactly how to proceed.

If you’re using Ask Perion to plan campaigns, it can automatically submit a finished plan to your Perion agent. It will also provide you with a PDF to share if needed.

How reliable is Ask Perion?

Ask Perion uses real data from your campaigns and available industry data to form real insights and make recommendations. Like any AI agent, it should be used as an advisory tool and all answers should be verified before being shared or used.

That said, you’re always in the driver’s seat. Ask Perion will never alter your data or execute plans or campaigns on your behalf, making it an invaluable tool when managing your campaigns, building reports, or creating plans and RFPs.

Is my data safe with Ask Perion?

Absolutely! All confidential information stays confidential. Your Perion One privacy policy equally applies to any and all Ask Perion conversations.

Ask Perion chat histories are also only available to the profile that started them, so you don’t need to worry about accidentally sharing any information between advertisers.

Does Ask Perion have different models?

No. Currently, Ask Perion works off of a unified model..
